Every series has a beginning, and for Salon Talks, it's this one. I wrote In Her Chair because readers deserved to meet Tallinn Grant before the world had — to see the moment she stopped being the woman in the chair and started being the woman who owned the room. There's a specific kind of courage it takes to find your voice for the first time, and I wanted to write that moment the way it actually feels: quiet, terrifying, and utterly life-changing.
