Contemporary Romance · Love Haze Series, Book 1
Bangkok, Bad Decisions & Best Friends
A contemporary romance about the chaos only real friendship can survive.
Three best friends. One luxurious Thai getaway. And the kind of chaos that only real friendship — the kind that's seen you at your worst and stayed anyway — can survive.
Some trips change your life. Some trips wreck it. The best ones do both. Bangkok, Bad Decisions & Best Friends is a contemporary romance about what happens when you take three women who love each other fiercely, drop them into a city that never sleeps, and let the tequila make a few of the decisions. It's funny. It's sexy. It's a little bit reckless. And underneath all of it, it's about the one thing no romance novel ever talks about enough: the friendships that hold you together when the love story falls apart.
If you've ever had a friend who talked you into something terrible and then talked you through the aftermath, this one's for you. Welcome to Bangkok. Pack lightly. Leave your good sense at home.

What readers will find
The themes at the heart of the book.
Female friendship as the real love story
The bond between the three friends is the spine of the book — messy, loyal, and unbreakable in the ways that matter.
Bad decisions, good stories
The kind of choices that look terrible in the morning and become the story you tell for the next ten years.
Romance with heat and humor
Sexy without taking itself too seriously — the banter lands as hard as the kissing.
Bangkok as a character
A city of heat, neon, long-tail boats, and nights that don't end — the backdrop that makes everything feel possible and a little bit dangerous.
The beautiful chaos of being a woman in your prime
Figuring out love, ambition, and friendship when none of them come with instructions.
From the author
A note from Sy
I wrote this book because I wanted a romance that honored friendship the way it actually feels — loud, complicated, and the thing that saves you. The best decisions of my life have almost all involved the women I love, and so have some of the worst. Bangkok is my love letter to that kind of friendship: the one that survives the trip, the fallout, and the group chat that never stops. I had so much fun writing this one. I hope you have even more fun reading it.
